Prado wins National Competition Thursday, 16 October 2008
Seigfred E. Prado, BSIE 4A won 4th place during the 41st Shell National Students’ Art Competition sponsored by Pilipinas Shell Petroleum Corporation. Prado joined the water color category with his work entitled, “After Cyclone”. The art works were exhibited at the Ayala Museum on October 3 -17, 2008. The awarding ceremony was held last October 3, 2008 at the Ayala Museum, Makati City.
The Shell National Students' Art Competition has recognized today’s young artistic talents as they grow to become tomorrow’s leading visual artists. Since 1951, Shell has sought to encourage creativity among students by giving them access to great works of art from the past. In a continuing partnership with Ayala Museum, the new generation of artists can find inspiration from the works of the masters on exhibit at the Ayala Museum and one day take their place among them. Pedagogy Department Ranks 2nd Tuesday, 14 October 2008
College of Education, Pedagogy Department ranked second in the academic exhibit as part of the foundation week celebration held last September 1-6, 2008. The exhibit was participated by different colleges in the main campus including the laboratory school. The latter got the 1st prize.
The Pedagogy Department exhibited different modules, educational video presentations, students’ outputs, on-line treasure hunt activities and web-enhancement learning activities.
The said exhibit was evaluated by Mr. Leo Sombiro, Dr. Ernesto Penuela, and Mr. Umani as Board of Judges. Dr. Renato M. Sorolla, Dean of CIT, was the committee chairman. (Florey Calaycay) Read more...
