RSD conducts Planning Seminar-Workshop

The Research Services Division spearheaded by Dr. Carmelo V. Ambut, OIC Director, organized a planning seminar-workshop last July 28-29, 2009 at the WVCST Function Room. It aimed to put in place the WVCST research programs.

It was participated by department Research Coordinators and some identified faculty members from the main campus and external campuses.

Several related topics were discussed such as Funding for Masteral and Doctoral programs by Dr. Gregorio Perez of CHED Region VI, DOST Thrusts, Goals and Objectives was presented by Director Rowen R. Gelonga, Regional Multi-Sectoral Researches by Ms. Leah Letrero of NEDA, Budgets and Policies by Dr. Manuel A. Sanchez, Jr., former Research Director, and Mrs. Mary Jean Nobleza, College Budget Officer, talked on approved Research Budget.

The workshop focused on the revision of the R&D Vision, Mission, Goals and Objectives, Formulation of Research Programs per college, Sources of Funds, Identification of Research Concerns and Priorities, SWOT Analysis and Action Plans.
Each participant was made to present their output and critiques followed.

Dr. Nehema K. Misola, Director of Planning Development and Auxiliary Services and Dr. Carmelo V. Ambut encouraged the participants to do research and disseminate research outputs for the utilization of the clienteles.

Certificates of Participation were given to the participants after the workshop.
